Emberleaf are pleased to announce that Woodlore have bestowed upon us the honour and privilege of hand building for them their World Famous Ray Mears Bushcraft Knife

Our team has worked closely with the Woodlore team over the last few months perfecting the subtle and unique nuances of the design of this knife. It has been used, tested and sharpened by Ray Mears and we are proud to produce a worthy successor to the previous version of the knife and for our two bladesmiths to be added to the exclusive list of world renowned knife makers who built them.

If you wish to purchase a Ray Mears Bushcraft Knife it is only available direct from Woodlore on the following link:

Specification of the knife:

Hand crafted from O1 High Carbon Tool Steel, the full, mildly-tapered-tang blade features a flat Scandinavian-style bevel. This type of steel is remarkably strong and sharpens to a very fine edge. The blade bears the distinct Ray Mears Bushcraft logo on one side, while the Emberleaf logo is laser etched on the reverse.

The dimensions of the handle were deliberated over in great detail in order to find the perfect balance between comfort and function. Ultimately, a style akin to that of the Wilkinson Sword models was chosen, which is slightly slimmer to those featured on the Woodlore Knife.

Now in its third form, updated in summer 2017, this latest version of the Ray Mears Bushcraft Knife comes fitted with a stunning handle made from a quality linen Micarta which gives not only a robust and stable knife, but one with a beautiful finish. Each handle is secured with Corby screw rivets, giving a more secure fastening, and finished with a smooth satin head.

The Ray Mears Bushcraft Knife comes complete with a Ray Mears Leather belt sheath another hand-made item made to exceptionally high standards, this sheath complements the knife perfectly. The sheathed knife is then enclosed in an exclusive presentation case, embossed with the Ray Mears 'Snowshoe' logo.
